As this is a pre-accelerator program, rather than a full accelerator program, applicants can apply for this program with an idea (or more than one idea!). The purpose of the program is to assist you to determine if it is viable to develop a business from your idea.
Whether you are a researcher or a founder, we will assist you to find funding to develop your MVP. This funding could be in the form of a government grant, university funding, project funding from Research & Development Corporations (RDCs), industry, angel investors, VCs or Breakthrough Victoria. We also have a small pool of grant funding from LaunchVic to match other funding.
Rocket Seeder is a lifelong strong community founders and ecosystem supporters. We will continue to support you, whether it's an update over Zoom or in person, providing information, inviting you to events and introducing you to others in our broader networks.
Yes, we accept applications from solo founders!
No, but we do expect all our participants to 1—commit fully to the Program and 2—to give back to the community. It takes a village to build a business, so we believe in paying-it-forward and sharing your own experiences with the next generation of founders.
This program is FREE due to the support of LaunchVic and Agriculture Victoria, however we do expect all our participants to 1—commit fully to the program and 2—to give back to the community. At least one founder of the business MUST participate in the 12 week program, attending all weekly online sessions. However, we encourage all founders in the business to take part and join in, as long as it benefits you and your business!
Apart from attending the mandatory program dates, we expect founders to spend at least an additional 4 hours per week on your business, throughout the duration the 12 week program.
As this is a pre-accelerator program, rather than a full accelerator program, you could be working full-time in another job while you complete the program - although some flexibility from your employer will be required to attend the weekly sessions.
