What happens after I submit an application? 2017-11-16T11:26:25+00:00

Once you’ve submitted your application, we’ll review your submission. If you, your team, and your idea are a good fit for our program, we’ll get in touch to discuss next steps.

If your application needs further work, or you’re not successful in this round don’t be discouraged. We’ll try to provide you with feedback so you can learn and grow, and perhaps apply again when you’ve made more progress.

When will I know if I’m in the program? 2017-11-16T11:27:03+00:00

In most cases, we will try to be in touch with you within 2 weeks of your application submission for an initial discussion if we find there’s a match between you, your team, your idea, and the program.

We’ll try to let you know at least 2 weeks in advance of the program start date so you can plan accordingly.

How long is the program? 2017-11-16T12:11:43+00:00

The program runs for 14 weeks, culminating in a private pitch and demo event with potential distribution partners and investors.

What is the expected commitment? 2017-03-31T17:22:58+00:00

Starting a business is hard, and takes 100% dedicated time and effort.

You need to identify and really understand the problem to be solved, come up with a way to solve the problem, build a team, build the solution, find customers, test your solution out, make changes, test your solution out again, make changes again, find paying customers, improve your solution, raise capital, build a bigger team … you get the idea.

When you are selected to join, you and your full team are expected to devote a 100% commitment to the 14-week program.

If you want to do a program at night, on weekends, or drop in and out, then there are other programs that might better meet your needs.

I have other commitments, can I still join the program? 2017-03-31T17:23:34+00:00

Do you accept individuals, or do I need a team? 2017-11-16T12:05:57+00:00

We look at each application on its merits.

We are passionate about helping individuals and teams who have identified a problem and taken the first steps to developing a solution that customers find valuable.

We know that teams are able to dramatically accelerate their start-up if they have multiple co-founders, however we do accept individuals if you have clearly identified a problem, developed a solution (partial or full prototype), and can demonstrate some customer traction. We can help you find co-founders and bring them on board.

Is there a limited number of places? 2017-11-16T12:09:11+00:00

Places are limited, and we will only be accepting 10 start-ups into Autumn Crop 18.

How far along does my start-up have to be to apply? 2017-03-19T17:03:33+00:00

We look at each application on its merits.

We are passionate about helping individuals and teams who have identified a problem and taken the first steps to developing a solution that customers find valuable.

If you have clearly identified a problem, developed a solution (partial or full prototype), and can demonstrate some customer traction then you are a good candidate for our program.

Alternatively, if you have discovered or invented something you think might have potential, but are still in the early stages, then the application process will give you an idea of the things you’ll need to think about. It will help you to structure your thinking, and help us to understand if we can help you.
